CCC Digital Stylist is a digital wardrobe and styling application designed to help users build a capsule wardrobe, generate outfit combinations from clothing they already own, save favourite outfits, plan outfits and use AI-powered styling and virtual try-on features.

We are committed to respecting your privacy and handling your personal information responsibly and transparently.

For the purposes of UK data protection law, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation (“UK GDPR”) and the Data Protection Act 2018, Bo Hart Ltd is the data controller for personal information for which we determine the purposes and means of processing.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the App, we may collect the following information.

Account Information

When you create or manage an account, we may collect information such as:

• account identifier;

• information associated with your user profile.

Passwords and authentication credentials may be handled by our authentication service provider rather than being directly accessible to us.

Wardrobe Information

Photographs for Virtual Try-On

If you choose to use the Virtual Try-On feature, you may upload a photograph of yourself.

These images are used to generate a visual representation of selected clothing or outfits.

Virtual Try-On imagery is intended as a styling visualisation only. It should not be regarded as an exact representation of garment fit, sizing, appearance or how an item will look when physically worn.

You are not required to upload a personal photograph to use all features of the App. Where available, you may instead use a pre-generated AI model.

Outfit and Styling Data

We may process information generated through your use of the App, including:

• generated outfit combinations;
• saved outfits;
• favourite outfits;
• capsule wardrobe progress;
• styling selections;
• virtual try-on selections;
• outfit planning information; and
• dates on which you plan to wear particular outfits.

Device and Technical Information

When you use the App, certain technical information may be collected automatically, such as:

• device type;
• operating system;
• app version;
• IP address;
• crash and diagnostic information;
• usage information; and
• technical identifiers.

This information may be used to operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the App.

4. Artificial Intelligence

Certain features within CCC Digital Stylist use artificial intelligence (“AI”) and automated image-processing technologies to provide wardrobe, styling and visualisation features.

Depending on the feature being used, AI processing may include:

• identifying, analysing or categorising wardrobe items;
• processing uploaded clothing images;
• removing or modifying image backgrounds;
• generating outfit combinations and styling suggestions;
• generating or processing images for the Virtual Try-On feature; and
• creating visual representations of selected outfits.

Third-Party AI Service Providers

CCC Digital Stylist is built using the Base44 platform. Base44 may use third-party AI service providers to provide AI-powered functionality within applications built on its platform.

Information submitted when using an AI-powered feature, including uploaded images where relevant to that feature, may therefore be processed by one or more third-party AI service providers used by Base44.

At the date of this Privacy Policy, Base44 identifies Anthropic, Google and OpenAI as third-party AI service providers that it may use. As Base44 may update its providers from time to time, users should refer to the Base44 page above for the most current information.

Processing of Photographs

If you choose to upload a photograph of yourself for the Virtual Try-On feature, that photograph may be transmitted to and processed using AI services made available through Base44 in order to generate the requested visualisation.

We only intend photographs submitted for Virtual Try-On to be used for the purpose of providing the feature and related functionality.

Virtual Try-On results are AI-generated visualisations designed to help users explore styling ideas. They are not intended to provide an exact representation of garment fit, sizing, proportions, colour, fabric behaviour or how a garment will look when physically worn.

Uploading a personal photograph for Virtual Try-On is optional. Where the App provides an AI model option, users may choose to use an AI model instead of uploading their own photograph.

AI Processing and Your Data

We do not sell photographs or wardrobe information submitted through CCC Digital Stylist.

We do not intentionally use photographs uploaded to CCC Digital Stylist to train our own general-purpose AI models.

Where information is processed by third-party AI providers through the Base44 platform, processing is subject to the arrangements between Base44 and its providers and to the applicable terms, privacy and data-processing practices of those services.

Because Base44 may change or update the AI service providers supporting its platform, we recommend reviewing the current provider information periodically using the Base44 AI Service Providers page linked above.

Your Choice

You should only upload photographs that you are comfortable submitting for AI processing.

Please do not upload photographs of another person without their permission.

If you do not wish to submit a personal photograph for AI processing, you can choose not to use the personal-photo element of Virtual Try-On and continue to use other available features of CCC Digital Stylist.

5. Legal Bases for Processing

Under UK GDPR, we must have a lawful basis for processing personal information.

Depending upon the circumstances, we may rely on:

Performance of a contract – where processing is necessary to provide the App and features you request.

Legitimate interests – where necessary to operate, secure, maintain and improve our service, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.

Consent – where we specifically ask for your permission, including where required for particular optional features or communications.

Legal obligation – where processing is necessary for us to comply with applicable law.

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time, although this will not affect processing already lawfully carried out.

6. Camera and Photo Library Access

CCC Digital Stylist may request access to your device’s camera or photo library so that you can:

• photograph wardrobe items;
• upload existing photographs of clothing; or
• upload a photograph for Virtual Try-On.

The App will request the relevant device permission before accessing these features.

You can change camera and photo permissions through your device settings.

We only receive photographs you choose to submit to the App; granting photo-library access does not mean that we automatically upload your entire photo library.

7. How We Share Information

We may share information with trusted service providers where necessary to operate CCC Digital Stylist.

These may include providers of:

• cloud hosting and database infrastructure;
• account authentication;
• image storage;
• artificial intelligence and image processing;
• Virtual Try-On technology;
• analytics;
• error monitoring;
• customer support; and
• other technical infrastructure required to operate the App.

These organisations may process personal information on our behalf or, in some circumstances, act as independent controllers for particular processing.

We may also disclose information where required by law, court order or regulatory authority, or where reasonably necessary to protect our legal rights or the security of our users and services.

We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties for their own advertising purposes.

8. International Data Transfers

Some of the technology providers supporting CCC Digital Stylist may process or store information outside the United Kingdom.

Where personal information is transferred internationally, we take appropriate steps as required by applicable data protection law to ensure that the information receives an appropriate level of protection.

These measures may include adequacy regulations, recognised contractual safeguards or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

9. How Long We Keep Your Information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing your account and complying with legal, accounting or security requirements.

Wardrobe information, saved outfits and other account-related information may be retained while your account remains active so that your wardrobe and styling information remains available when you return to the App.

Information associated with an account may be deleted or anonymised following an account deletion request, subject to information we are legally required or permitted to retain.

Some information may remain temporarily in secure backups before being permanently removed according to our normal backup and retention processes.

Virtual Try-On images: the precise retention arrangements for uploaded and generated Virtual Try-On images depend upon the technical provider used to process the request. We will maintain appropriate retention practices and provide additional information where required.

10. Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your CCC Digital Stylist account and associated personal information.

Where account deletion is available within the App, follow the instructions under your account or profile settings.

When an account is deleted, we will delete or anonymise personal information associated with the account unless we need to retain particular information to comply with a legal obligation, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, maintain security or exercise legal rights.
